Rupel has been in the investment industry since 1994. He started in the mutual fund client service of Richardson Greenshields. Rupel joined Rob Richards in early 1996 as Trader and Research Associate.

Rupel graduated from Queen's University in 1993 with a B.A. in economics. He has completed various industry courses, including the Ivey Executive Program at the University of Western Ontario, and the CFA program in 1999.

Rupel is married to Marcy and has two children.
