Today, the TSX was down about 4 percent, the S&P 500 was down 5 percent, and the tech-heavy NASDAQ was down 6 percent. These are significant single-day declines, and we are sure many investors are nervous. We are writing to let you know that while our portfolios were not immune to this environment, our average equity account declined 1.4 percent today, significantly less than the indices.
Your quarterly report from Heathbridge will be available shortly. The results will show that the markets and most peers were down for the quarter ended March 31, 2025, but our average portfolios were slightly up.
We have designed portfolios to be durable in times of turmoil. We are gratified to see that so far that this has been the case. We will remain vigilant.
