The first quarter of 2025 was marked by significant volatility and notable shifts in global financial markets. The feverish optimism around US economic growth after Trump was re-elected has waned and been replaced with nervousness around tariffs and a dwindling consumer. Technology stocks led the declines. While a quarter does not make a trend, the sharp reversal and change of sentiment was noteworthy nonetheless.
Management of risk has been a priority for how we have managed our portfolios. Our soundly structured and differentiated portfolios increased in value in the recent quarter when markets were weak and many investors were down.

We are available if you want to discuss this further.
